Today we tackled two words that we have been hearing from the beginning of the course. The two words are Ontology and Epistemology. Tom discussed the meanings of both words. Ontology meaning the study of what there is in general and epistemology is the study of knowledge and justified belief.
We then went on to the visualisation and drawing workshop and drawing for thinking, learning and communication. We looked at different approaches for our research such as bubble drawing, collage and brainstorm. Sandra pointed out a cool idea, have you ever doodled on a piece of paper in class or on the phone? Well, it was pointed out that it may be a way of concentrating or even a way of making notes, see note taking does not have to be just writing.
If you thought that we were about to have a lesson without an activity your wrong, come on would Sandra and Tom do that to us no. Of course we had another interesting activity, so we had to do a blind drawing, YES I said. We had to draw one of our classmates that were sitting next to us without looking at our piece of paper and this is how my poor classmate Greta ended up looking like:
